The KTM 790 Duke prototype gives us a first look at what KTM are calling "the bike to bring unparalleled poise, telepathic levels of feedback and lightness that’s off the scale" to the mid-sized sport naked category.

They're calling this new motor the LC8c (c for compact), and say the new bike will feature ride-by-wire throttle, variable fuel modes, and multi-level traction control.
Hopefully cornering ABS as well.

If Duke 790 will make close to 100 horsepower and manages to come in under the 180 kg (and comes void of the fueling and suspension issues), this thing is going to be a super monster.
Sadly, KTM plans Duke 790 to be released as a 2018 model, so we will have to wait a little bit longer.
