The Monster 1200/1200 S was introduced in the year 2014 as the newest edition to the Monster family.
After almost 20 years of air-cooled engine tradition and design that was changed very little, the new Monster got Monocouque frame and liquid cooled engine from the latest Testastretta generation that is used in other Ducati models such as, Diavel and Multistrada 1200.
This is the the biggest (dimensions) and the most powerful (engine) Monster in the 21 year old Monster history.
Although the looks were changed radically, it remains a full blooded Monster with its tradition, charisma and it offers a lot of power, fun and safety.
Monster 1200 S has machined Y- shaped, 3 spoke wheels in light alloy which are much lighter than the ones on the standard Monster 1200, and the second difference is in the front fork, Monster 1200 S has fully adjustable 48 mm Ohlins front fork and the Monster 1200 has a standard 43 mm usd fork.
The safety comes from Ducati Safety Pack that includes: ABS, DTC, RbW and DDA anti-theft system.
All the above mentioned is needed and appreciated when you ride 145 hp Monster.
