Borgo Panigale, Bologna, 10 May 2018 – The new BTS (Build-to-Suit) warehouse at Parco P3 in Sala Bolognese, just a few miles outside Bologna, has been inaugurated today.
The high-performance facility covers a surface area of over 30,000 square metres. Built by P3, a company that specialises in the acquisition, development and management of logistics properties, it will act as the storage and distribution hub for Ducati and Lamborghini accessories and original spare parts.

This major project bears witness to the bond these two iconic international automotive brands have with the area, a bond characterised by a concentration of resources and investment.
To highlight this rewarding relationship, the town council of Sala Bolognese has decided to name the road where the warehouse is located Via Ducati-Lamborghini.

The logistics hub will provide work for some 120 new employees. It occupies a plot of almost 11 hectares, which includes 5,000 m 2 for any future expansion, of which 700 m2 will be set aside for offices.

The cutting-edge warehouse uses eco-sustainable technologies such as LED lighting, efficient thermal insulation and special solar panels on the roof that provide hot water for offices and power the heating and cooling systems. Further forward-thinking aspects include the construction of a cycle path to link the Sala Bolognese railway station directly with Parco P3.

“This major, complex local project is part of a broader strategic plan aimed at providing ducatisti with improved efficiency and services. Once fully operational, it will ensure excellence, quality and ever-shorter delivery times to ensure an effective response to every single need, anywhere in the world", stated Francesco Milicia, Ducati Supply Chain Manager. "We're proud to be teaming up with P3, as we share the same values and professionalism. We are both focused on meeting customers' needs to ensure they always receive the fastest, most appropriate solution.”

Following an intense period of construction which lasted just six months, the facility was inaugurated today at Sala Bolognese. The event was attended by representatives of local institutions, authorities and the press.

“Ducati and Lamborghini had set a very tight timetable for the completion of the new warehouse”, stated Jean-Luc Saporito, Managing Director of P3 in Italy, when the ribbon was cut. "We're proud we succeeded in meeting the delivery deadline, an achievement made possible by P3's partnerships with the General Contractor, Techbau, the Town Council of Sala Bolognese and, of course, our customers.”
